Overview
The mission of
the Afghanistan Women’s Business Federation (AWBF)’s
Entrepreneurship Training Center is to provide high quality
interactive instruction on topics that will assist Afghan
women in starting, managing and expanding business
enterprises. The Training Center is managed and was founded
by the AWBF, with the support of the United States Agency
for International Development (USAID) and provides a full
range of course offerings taught in two week blocks. The
classroom instruction is followed up by personalized
assistance from certified instructors that help students
institutionalize the knowledge gained in the classroom.
Core Curriculum
used in the Entrepreneurship Training Center is provided
exclusively to AWBF by the Business Council for Peace. The
Training Center is the only location in Afghanistan where
businesswomen can receive culturally appropriate and
interactive instruction based on BPeace’s international best
practices models. In addition to its core curriculum, the
Training Center also offers curriculum that focuses on
personal and professional development, as well as the
integration of women into the private sector.
